The team at Glow Inflatables Ltd has successfully installed two incredible inflatable sculptures for creative production company Amelia Studios. These towering 10-metre-tall characters were created in collaboration with Nike and Slawn to celebrate his first-ever trainer design with the brand. Lagos-born artist Slawn is enjoying phenomenal success with his graffiti-style work making it a must for high profile collections around the world.
It seemed a natural fit for muralist Slawn to collaborate with Nike creating the Air Max 90 ‘Speckle’ collection which depict his unique urban touches and are embossed with his own signature.
Commissioned to bring Slawn’s vision to life for impact marketing, Glow’s design team meticulously replicated every detail of the new Nike trainer to be featured on our custom inflatable sculptures. The result was two larger-than-life characters, one black and one white to match the speckled trainer options. These two giant inflatable characters are now sited proudly at Truman Brewery Bridge that spans Brick Lane in London and also on the roof of a nearby car park.
The installations have already caught the public’s attention as one gives the impression of the character just rocking up in his new Nike trainers and sitting effortlessly on the bridge. The other slouches casually on a roof top. Slawn himself has been photographed sitting next to one of the giant figures looking down on the London skyline. The striking images have already received over eighty thousand likes on Slawn’s Instagram.
