Glow Inflatables Ltd were delighted to work once again with arguably the world’s biggest band – Coldplay. Their Music of the Spheres World Tour took them to South America where they performed lived to thousands of fans in the Buenos Aires River Plate Stadium.
As always, Coldplay performed a series of life-affirming concerts in a stadium bursting with lights, lasers and fireworks. The team at Glow provided the band with a set of twelve specially commissioned inflatable spheres which were filled with helium so that they could float effortlessly above the crowds in a celestial celebration. We also fitted each globe with LED lights which were then carefully coordinated to illuminate the stadium in synchronicity with Coldplay’s most anthemic songs. Each giant inflatable sphere was managed expertly by the team at Glow who were on hand to ensure that they were set to drift and shine perfectly on cue at each of the ten shows.
As an extra surprise, Coldplay invited special guest Jin from stratospheric K-pop band BTS to perform his new single Astronaut which was co-written by the band.
This amazing spectacle was filmed and broadcast live in thousands of cinemas across more than 70 countries and featured classic hits from the last two decades for fans to enjoy wherever they were. The beautifully captured feature presentation was directed by acclaimed BAFTA-winning and Grammy-nominated director Paul Dugdale.
The show has received rave reviews being called ‘genuinely stunning’ by The Guardian and ‘a night for the history books’ by The New York Post. Fans all agree, it was an unforgettable, out-of-this-world experience made possible by the collaboration between Coldplay’s creative directors and our professional team at Glow.
