Primavera Sound is a Spanish music festival which takes place every summer in Barcelona. This June it celebrated its delayed 20th anniversary by extending the event to two weeks. They had a fabulous line up of innovative and influential artists from a range of genres including indie rock to underground techno. It all took place in the summer sun with a beautiful Mediterranean backdrop. The headliners included Dua Lipa, Gorillaz, Megan Thee Stallion and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
Such an amazing event understandably attracts some big sponsors, one of which was Pull & Bear, the Spanish clothing company. Pull & Bear, who specialise in urban style product lines popular with high tech youth culture, gave its name to one of the 16 stages at the festival. On arrival at Primavera Sound, festival-goers were greeted with stalls from all the sponsors. The 13m high inflatable bear supplied by Glow Inflatables Ltd was a particularly striking feature, clearly visible to all who entered, drawing attention to Pull & Bear’s company merchandise.
The team at Glow were involved in the whole process of design, manufacture and installation of this incredible giant inflatable bear. The bright colours and comic-like design reflected the blue of the Mediterranean, the fun to be had at the festival and the theme of ‘bigger is better’ given that Primavera attracted up to 220,000 visitors from 126 different countries!
