HKL Traffic operations ensures safe control of tram traffic in Helsinki and asked us to make an inflatable car for them for testing purposes. We worked with the client to design and manufacture a car that could be used instead of a real vehicle to test out the trams functionality in regards to sensing the surrounding area in the city.
The car is the same size as a real car but this one was made with integrated wheels rather than separate wheels, the importance for this project was budget and for functionality over aesthetic. Our cars can be made to look very realistic or just similar in shape and print to replicate a real car. Inflatable cars are used for testing vehicles systems or crash testing but can also be used for promotional use at a garage or event.
