Glow Inflatables were asked by Farago Projects to create giant inflatable animals and characters working with renowned artist Jamie Reid, Johnny Dufort and Gareth Wrighton for the Parco 2021 campaign. The campaign ‘Hope Floats’ asks us ‘what if your imaginary friends came to life?’ During a time when we have been unable to see our friends the Parco campaign is about imagination and friendship. The giant inflatable characters that we created are four larger than life friendly mascots for the campaign. The four friends were made to represent each of the four seasons with the first two shown here as Spring and Summer.
Parco wanted to invite you into a parallel universe away from the complicated and uneasy times that we face through the pandemic, where love friendship and hope float! Glow were thrilled to be involved in making that journey a reality with our giant custom shaped inflatable characters and animals.
We worked closely with the designer of the 2D characters and developed 3D inflatable designs keeping the artists impression at the forefront of the design at all times. The inflatables were created to be both practical for installation purposes as well as being vibrant in colour and fun in their design having pop out 3D features to make the characters feel as real as possible. We really enjoyed travelling with the wider team in London city to each location and setting up the inflatables in lighting speed, and then packing down and moving on to the next location ready for the team to film.
Farago projects and Jamie Reid coordinated the project incredibly well and it was pleasure working with the team.
