Earlier this year After Dark Promotions collaborated with Glow Inflatables to decorate their event ‘The Dancing Astronaut’ with a series of outer space inflatables to match their brand colours and theme, we worked with our customer and their designer to develop flat 2D designs of a rocket and giant DJ helmet into full colour 3D inflatable working designs to transform the concepts into custom built inflatables to hang from the ceilings and sit proudly on the stage of the event.
The helmet was designed so that the DJ booth was inside looking out through the visor of the inflatable. At a massive 6 metres tall the inflatable towered above the ravers at the event creating a real spectacle. With names such as Scrillex, Calvin Harris and Sub Focus playing at the their events the After Dark Team wanted to upgrade their current set of inflatables for custom designs that matched the events branding and colours.
Glow also supplied LED planets and DMX controllable balls that were hung from the ceiling of the venue to give a cosmic sky to rave under all night. People attending the event shared photos and videos all night commenting at how amazing the DJ booth was, the inflatables really captured the minds of the ravers and will hopefully bring much more attention to the event for future dates when clubs open again.
