The team at Glow Inflatables have been working hard over the last few months with the visual merchandising team at Selfridges and Co in London, Birmingham and Manchester to be a part of their epic new campaign to say ‘Happy New Decade’ in store. Our custom inflatables have been used in Selfridges window displays and throughout the store to fit in with their fresh new vibe this season, setting an optimistic tone with minimal and bright shapes.
We have enjoyed collaborating with the team to create the unusual inflatable designs and shapes with glossy PVC and gradient prints and working with mixed media. Glow have successfully installed the pieces into the shop windows on Oxford street and in store for the new year, announcing Happy New Decade to their customers. The installations at the Birmingham and Manchester stores have been equally triumphant.
The reveal of the windows took place on the 6th January and customer have given feedback about how fun and fresh the inflatables look in the windows and in store.
We worked with the Selfridges team to create a huge range of inflatables such as giant inflatable smileys, letters, moustaches and rainbows. Inflatable Jellies were also used in both the store and the window, these were giant jelly replicas specifically designed with a semi-transparent printed gradient PVC to give the effect of a real jelly, customers commenting on how they looked ‘good enough to eat’. The shop windows featured dancing men, a jelly, giant rainbow googly eyed arches and a Yoga belly, all custom designed and printed to match in with the stores specific theme colours and other builds.
We have had so much positive feedback from Birmingham, Manchester and London and can’t wait to start the next journey with the brand by transforming the inflatables into bags in a collaboration with Wyatt & Jack next season as part of our shared sustainability programme to ensure the inflatables continue their life in a new form.
