Music lovers were treated to a visual extravaganza at this weekend’s Glastonbury Music Festival as Coldplay headlined on the famous Pyramid Stage for a record-breaking fifth time. This was one of the most anticipated performances of the year and was among the first Glastonbury sets to be live streamed globally. As well as treating fans to nearly two hours of anthemic hits, Coldplay dazzled with their world-renowned staging.

On this enormous scale, the visual effects needed to be big enough to be seen across the acres of Worthy Farm as well as look impressive on TVs all around the world. Having worked with Coldplay for their Music of the Spheres world tour, Glow Inflatables Ltd were asked to supply a mesmerizing set of uniquely designed LED jellyfish which would add an ethereal touch to part of their amazing set.

The team at Glow Inflatables crafted the LED jellyfish using a variety of different materials and integrated DMX LED lights to create dream-like tentacles that almost seemed alive as they moved in the gentle Somerset breeze. The intricate, colourful design and vibrant illumination captivated both live and virtual audiences, enhancing Coldplay’s already legendary live show.

As emotional fans sang along and waved their illuminated wristbands, the beautiful LED jellyfish floated harmoniously above the stage, creating an unforgettable other-worldly atmosphere. This ground-breaking performance at Glastonbury, where innovation meets artistry in a spectacular display of light and sound, was summed up by actor Tom Cruise in just one word – “Awesome”.
