With this in mind, the team at Glow was commissioned to produce a selection of bold and eye-catching custom inflatable palm trees to be used in window displays for Away’s latest marketing campaign. The aim of the exercise was to increase footfall and welcome customers into the stores and Glow did not disappoint! The striking and surreal inflatables were made in different sizes, alluding to a family holiday vibe with their big eyes gazing from the bright blue branches atop soft pink trunks. Some of the personified palm trees even have a bum bag fixed round their ‘waist’ in true holiday-maker style.
The brightly coloured inflatable palm trees add a three-dimensional facet to the marketing campaign that also features a smiling purple aeroplane and a pink camera striding purposefully. Away have also included the tagline ‘Everything’s Technicolor’ to their shop window. The use of cartoon-like inflatables is ideal to compliment the light-hearted and optimistic marketing campaign. This adventurous visual merchandising strategy helps to promote the youthful exuberance of a fresh brand and is ideal for sharing on social media.
