LED Inflatable Planets, Globes and Structures for Ludus Dance – Lancaster, UK

We had the pleasure in working with Ludus Dance in Winter 2019 to create a beautiful display of lighted inflatables as part of their performance for Light Up Lancaster. The festival of light called on creatives and artists to join in the festival using light that took place on some of the darkest days in the city. The whole city was lit up with various displays all including illumination in different forms. Glow was excited to be involved with the festival and have produced a number of inflatables for Ludus that all included LED lighting.

Ludus performed ‘The Promenade of Galaxies’ which was devised by the youth dance company based in Lancaster. The piece represented a multi-cultural mind-set of the race to the moon. Glow’s inflatable planets and LED balls were used in the performance, carefully being transferred from one person to another and danced around to give a spectacular visionary piece. An inflatable LED pod was also created for the performance which added to the dazzling display. Glow installed and worked with the team on both nights of their performance to ensure it ran smoothly.

We love working with different customers that require inflatables for all sorts of reasons, whether it be in a retail environment, a festival, sporting event, musical performances, concerts alongside artists, scientific establishments and museums. Inflatables fit into such a broad spectrum of environments and we love the diversity.
